Our Journey.

The problem.

As much as we’d all love to hit pause and keep our little ones small sometimes, they grow so very fast and churn through furniture, accessories, toys and tech at a rate of knots. I can’t be the only parent baffled by the wonderful things our children used for a short time that then spend most of their life in the loft, and so The Tot Loft was born.

The system is broken, encouraging us parents to buy cheap and new every time our little ones grow out of their bedside crib, bouncy chair, baby monitor etc. Together, we can make a difference.

Mission.

The Tot Loft’s Mission is to transform the way we consume baby items, challenging overconsumption habits while also making and saving our customers some money! Our inclusive approach allows our community the opportunity to provide the very best for their little ones while reducing the environmental impact.

We’re making sustainability accessible and fun, creating a community for parents to come together and share the joy. Our model prolongs the life cycle of baby items already in circulation and reducing waste.

Circular economy.

We are a purely peer-to-peer community. We believe that there are already so many baby items in circulation, whether it be buggies, cots, bicycles, or tech, so we want to encourage others to share items within our trustworthy community. Unlike other rental models we do not buy new stock or inventory and therefore we avoid adding more items to circulation.

Logistics.

As a digital start-up, our environmental footprint remains far lower than if we were to have a physical store or warehouse. When our users are renting and lending, we want to encourage them to either meet up in a public location or use tracked delivery.
